Trainwrecks: Incoherent Rambling Edition
On a more contemplative note, and all condolances already forwarded… this is sort of like when Johnny Carson died. Aside from being one hell of an entertainer, Carson was something universal for our culture, in a way that none of his professional successors have ever been able to replicate. (ESPECIALLY Leno, that big face fuck) Klosterman once wrote about this, and noted that earlier in this decade the closest thing we had to a universal culture event was an OutKast album. Media has fragmented too much to have any one source carry a titan. (Though the Internet seems to be pretty good at re-weaving different cultural interest groups into one crowd when the subject is deserving)
But in this case, Farrah does have a successor, and that person is Pamela Anderson. Unfortunately, Pam caught a case of the hep (not the herp), and though she is fine at the moment, her longevity may be impacted by her condition. So, if you can find the time, please cherish any of her dingbat comments, for we may soon have none left. (Ok, that sounded harsh. Pam may be frivolous but she is not stupid; Farrah, on the other hand, had a solid reputation for being, um, eccentric.)
If there is a successor to these magnificent women, feel free to add two cents.
Can someone translate (BrianVanslate?) this, please?
